What was the highlight of Quality Hotel Waterfront
Basic hotel and impersonal front desk staff
Reasonably good location within 5-10 min walk to city centre with attractions and eatery around. Take away breakfast is available in front of the reception but it is self-service and basic breakfast with bread, cheese and ham, that’s all.
But not so near to the pier where we took the boat ride to Geiranger at Tollbugata 2 (15-20 min walk with luggage). The staircase at the main entrance of hotel is very inconvenient for guests with big luggage since staff will not offer to take the luggage. Also, the front desk staff were so impersonal and could not remember us at all even after we had checked in the hotel and requested for extra pillows.

Location, good wifi, conference facilities
I do not like this new trend in hotels: No free water, no minibar, no standard cleaning. No conditioner. We had a view on the sea until a large cruise ship obscured the view....

Good
The morning staff was pleasant.
It is an expensive property and the facilities are not commensurate with the room tariff. There was a lot of noise from the traffic on the road. We were given a room facing the road though it CLAIMS to be a Waterfront Hotel. The afternoon staff was not great.
